Didn't 'Dystopian Wars' just arrive, peak and go like five minutes ago?

It must be the new/old "in" thing.
Leviathan/Monsters in the Sky is relaunching via Kickstarter this year too after first hitting the shelves 10 years ago.

Aeronef has had a small but dedicated and loyal following for decades, Imperial Skies is the Nef game du jour with a bit more complexity. Given how many Nefs Brigade have sold there must still be a viable player base out there. I have a small British fleet somewhere.

Surely this is an adjunct to the age of Empire, which means that there is no such thing as a "small British fleet" - especially when it's founding premise is that it will be big enough to fight the world's 2nd and 3rd largest fleets at the same time, and on opposite sides of the planet, and win without breaking sweat. What you meant to say was that you have despatched a suitably-sized squadron to a remote corner of the globe, to gain experience of overseas conditions, show the flag, reassure the expats, impress the friendly locals, and remind the unfriendly locals (and any other nations with imperial pretensions) of the quality of slap they can expect if they start any shenanigans.

We, here at the Bavarian admiralty, have studied this strategy in detail and are making plans. And one day, mein Freund, one day.....

Der Tag!!!

What I don't get is there's all these so-called Osprey games and none of them have a mechanism for snatching fish out of a lake.

Yeah, well they have to keep quiet in case Games Workshop launch a new division - Gamekeepers With Poison and Shotguns World.

And, dear Baron, I said small. After all they were only fighting the Chinese, hardly any need for European scale fleets!
