Various health issues mean that my eyesight is going down hill pretty fast at the moment so I think I could have done a much better job a few years ago. Now I tend to lean too heavily on contrast type paints. Hopefully I can adapt.

Mate, I couldn't paint to that standard when I was younger. I suppose I'm going to have to give contrast paints a try if they can do that for a paint job.I think I could have done a much better job a few years ago

Everything on the LI is contrast except the silver. The Indians are about 50% contrast.
They're all painted over a zenithal highlight undercoat (Black then white from above to pre-shade shadows). This brings out the best in contrasts.
There are no extra highlights or shadow painted on the LI.
