Finished these an hour ago, 23rd Prussian musketeer battalion using Spencer Smith figures.
I noted that I had not painted the red lace on the cuffs of the officers, | have now corrected .
The troops do not have all the white lace the 23rd wears but as always with these figure less is more.

Excellent stuff once again! That's yet another well-travelled regiment I need to paint...
(Words alone can't fully convey just how much I'm hating the 3rd Hussars at the moment... )

Cheers for your kind comment.
Yes RMD some regiments are like that a bit of a pain to paint but worth it in the end.

A very popular regiment, Willz, despite all that bloody lace! Well done, mate.
RMD, Yellow on white and yellow on dark blue- what's the issue?

If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Do you know, it's only just struck me that your initials are one letter away from being RMT. Solidarity, Brothers!!!

They seemed like such a good idea at the time...

If it weren't for them I wouldn't be able to have a quiet day in work to paint hussars.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 7:24 amDo you know, it's only just struck me that your initials are one letter away from being RMT. Solidarity, Brothers!!!

Well, I don't have to paint hussars. I'd decided I'd buy those nice but expensive Hagen SYW French ones. I emailed the owner to make sure I could get officer-ensign-trumpeter-9 troopers. No problem. I then emailed about P&P & got back this extraordinary abusive email in which he ended with he wasn't sure he wanted to deal with me.
I made it easy on him & told him I didn't want to deal with him.
I'm still not sure how I offended him - was his day job the German Post Master General?
At any rate, a unit of French hussars is now out of the question.
cheers, donald

They still are, mate. They always look spectacular, and while they will rout in their first three battles for you, in the end you'll love them.RMD: They seemed like such a good idea at the time...
I've got the same reaction from a US seller, mate. I think all the confusion and changes in postage costs, substitutions of cheaper postal carriers with expensive couriers, and the likely concomitant whining from customers since COVID appeared, has made asking P&P questions akin to poking a very cranky taipan with a very short stick. Who knows, he may send an apology?Ochoin: I'm still not sure how I offended him
PS
Use the Zvezda hussars to do Polleresky? At any rate, a unit of French hussars is now out of the question.

It would be too late. We Scots are an exceedingly pleasant people but also & never forget this! we hold grudges. Who knew?Spanner wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 12:10 pm
