I haven't bought any new figures since Salute in April, and I'm happy. My painting table has been busy all year, and I have been working my way through stuff that has been waiting for paint for some time. It's a good feeling. I have bought paint and basing supplies, but as that gets used very quickly it don't count, it's fuel. Sometimes its very healthy and cathartic to nibble away at the soldier pile, rather than add to it.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.

Nope, before my splurge on 2 bags of H&R 6mm (yes that scale again he, he.) I have not bought anything for months. Mind you, without blowing my own trumpet but I have about 40 armies from across most of the major historical periods as well as some of the smaller ones so it's not as if I really need anything.
However, as you all know, need and want are two entirely different things.

Last month I sold more than I bought.

However this month it's Derby and SELWG so this state of affairs may not continue.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Hopefully I'll see you at SELWG.

What are you putting on this time? More cabbages and nuns?

Not this time (although they might make a reappearance sometime next year). It's drunken Texans and sleepy Mexicans this time :moredrink:

Debbie won't let me have even one. But at Christmas I spend a lot of time selecting the best, most functional, handbag for her. I just wish her taste was for more colourful handbags.

Wrong time of year for colourful handbags. Our Winter layout goes; black, grey, blue, brown before you get into the reds, oranges, yellows' greens & sparkly ones. Well it should but the assistant manageress swapped the greys and blues over as she found that seeing rows of grey handbags as she walked into the store depressed her. It's amazing the crap you learn in this job.

But in small specialist shops they tend to have the same stock all year round.

Isn't that because nobody ever buys any of it, though?

Yes, but some of it is very colourful.
