The Battle of White Plains 1776

Post by RMD »

It's been 12 years since my 28mm AWI collection last saw the light of day, but I dug them out last week for a cracking little refight:

That's a grand sight! Hopefully they will see more action now they have been dusted off.
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Cheers! Yes, definitely! We've got some more games lined up and there are more troops under the brush and on order from the Perries.

They are such nice figures.

Your ability to use a steady hand to paint those stripes on the Grenadiers' trousers obviously indicates you don't drink strong spirits or indulge in any other vices.

Thanks fellas.

I should point out that they were painted in 2005... A lot of strong drink has flowed since then (most of it at a retirement piss-up last night)...

Lovely figures, RMD, and a good AAR. The 17LD seem to have been a little impetuous. Have you ever been to the QRL museum at Thoresby Hall? If not it's worth a visit if you are up in north Nottinghamshire.
