Bought these pre-painted last week, they were given a repaint touch up and a drummer added.
Spencer Smith connoisseur range, painted as 12th Prussian Grenadiers.
Flag by David at "Not by Appointment",
Finck's battalion (just add the 13th's grenadiers)! The 26th's grenadiers got around a bit more than most, mate, as you probably know. Rossbach, Paltzig, Kolin, Prague, Maxen. Nice unit, Willz.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Cheers for both your kind comments, I don't know that much about their histories. I just paint them on the flags I like or more to the point the ones David at "Not by Appointment" has produced.
Kein Plan überlebt den ersten Kontakt mit den Würfeln. (No plan survives the first contact with the dice.) Baron Mannshed von Wreckedoften, First Sea Lord of the Bavarian Admiralty.
Yer still picking some good ones, mate. If you want an easy paint job but great flags then have a look at v. Itzenplitz (IR Nr 13). The facings and small clothes are controversial- they are usually shown as really light straw in English language books, but many of the German sources (eg Bleckwenn, Dorn, Menzel) say white- so you can pick what pleases you most. Their Leibfahne is the only one with a silver eagle.
