What's on your workbench?
Re: What's on your workbench?
I reckon the decals look great, as do the hand-painted ones up thread. As far as I am concerned, anyone dextrous enough to be able to apply decals to 28mm figures is dextrous enough to do an amazing job of hand-painting...
Re: What's on your workbench?
So you know the phenomenon? As in "You don't truly belong to me until you've run off the wrong edge of the table due to a series of bad dice rolls"?
If only that was true. It's easy to put a blob of water or setting solution on the figure, place the decal and push it into position with a cotton bud- which conveniently soaks up the excess liquid and lets the decal settle. Try that with paint. As far as I am concerned, anyone dextrous enough to be able to apply decals to 28mm figures is dextrous enough to do an amazing job of hand-painting.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Kein Plan überlebt den ersten Kontakt mit den Würfeln. (No plan survives the first contact with the dice.)

The regiment Bretagne has marched off the painting desk and deployed to GHQ. More on the blog of course.
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Nice work, Penda. Hopefully your lot will be less timid than mine are (3 games for 2 routs and a "stand fast and shiver").
