Battleground, Saturday 26th November...
Re: Battleground, Saturday 26th November...
I too had a most pleasant day, we put on a DBN Salamanca game, several people joined in over the day, and lots of yabbering was done. Bought a dozen scary looking scythie armed Scottish type figures & a prisoner wagon, which I thought was quite apt. Bacon bun was nice, as was the Humble pie cafe on the way home.
Andy did not merely 'lose to Peeler at DBN'.
He was totally & utterly demolished, destroyed, routed, defeated, rolled over & ransacked. Twice.
And I don't want anyone to think that this was mere revenge for what he did to me at Fram.

So it was just you, Peeler, Alex and Leon then?

So we're not mentioning the accidental purchase of artillery crew then? I did think it was remarkable.Peeler wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 8:02 pm I too had a most pleasant day, we put on a DBN Salamanca game, several people joined in over the day, and lots of yabbering was done. Having a bloody great crewed gun in the middle of your command stand is in the finest Ayton tradition...

To be fair, the toffs usually need something to lean on when their chatting. Or shagging their hussar uniform bedecked bits of fluff.

It sounds like it was a good show. I found this pic of the Salamanca DBN game on the Scotia Albion blog.

Good looking game, that.
Is that sand scattered across the table, or the crumbs from Peeler's pies?

I knew I'd forgotten something - those hairy scarey scythe carriers I bought - whilst not wearing me specs.
I thought I'd got a wonderful command group of a chap blowing a flute, a chap with a screwdriver stabby thing, a chap with a long handled hammer weapon, and another carrying something heavy.
Upon further inspection with specs, they turned out to be artillery crew.
D'oh! Thankfully the vendor let me swap them.
