AWI 28mm Hessian Musketeers & Fusiliers

Post by RMD »

I painted these Hessian regiments sometime 2006-2008, but have only now got around to photographing them and sticking them on the blog:

Worth the wait though, aren't they? Splendid!
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Nice figures, mate.

Good blog entry, too. I didn't know the Hessians had contributed that large a force to the AWI- it must have been half or more of their standing army.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Cheers fellas! Yeah, it was a hell of a force, though from a wargames point of view it's s shame that it wasn't really fielded in large numbers after 1776.

I'm sure your imagination can come up with a suitable alternative history scenario, mate.
