That'd be the fantasy set.

Hi Donald, I've replied to your PM.ochoin wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 4:23 amOh, they're yours!
As for other rules of the same name: it appears, reading between the lines, there's an archaic AWI set that hold nostalgic regard for some though no-one plays them.
.....umm.....any chance of seeing some material from *your* Tricorne? I've read SHAKO before, with an eye on them for Naps. I've skimmed through them with the thought of an SYW application & I think they may do.

We did a recent playtest here: http://www.jemimafawr.co.uk/2021/07/20/ ... -playtest/

Thanks, Mark.
With your kind permission, I will be 'picking your brains' on this.
The game seemed to go exactly as it should, with your amendments addressing several issues I had with the SHAKO rules.
As you know, the original rules (Napoleonic) are very pro-French. Did you give the SYW Prussians some of these super-powers in your SYW game? eg change formation, move AND fire in a turn?
How long did the game go for BTW?
Fabulous looking game, it goes without saying.

Yes, but the opportunities to change formation are somewhat rare! It does come in handy when you want to contract a single line to create two lines and vice versa. The Prussians generally get a massive advantage from having a greater proportion of elites (in the early part of the war, anyway) and from being able to place columns on the flanks of the line.
The game played for about four hours, until Phil's personal morale broke.
