Let's have a chat at Framlingham. There are a few of us looking to ancients at the moment.
Speak for yourself; I like to think of myself as disgracefully middle aged!
Fixed for you Grizz

Good idea, I foresee a ancient Ayton in the future.

This sounds like the best plan.
I'll be using Dragon Rampant for my Trojans.
I have a lot of experience using WAB in competitions and display games and do like it but it might be a bit 'last decade' now.
To the strongest looks good but have yet to play. The grid can be made inconspicuous too.

Aren't Trojans a brand of condoms?

The last decade bit is exactly why I like them and seems perfect for my current old school meanderings.
TSS is very good and I’ll definitely be playing more of this. The only ancient ruleset I’ve used that feels like a big battle.
I haven’t played Hail Caesar but I’m not a great fan of warmaster style command mechanics. Still if it’s like black powder it’s probably easy to play and basing neutral so I’d give it a go.

No one played or looked at Swordpoint? Seems very well resourced and supported online.
