Alex - Just out of interest, how will these rules differ from DBR?

Wow, these rules really do cover ALL aspects of warfare!

Are you hoping that you'll be able to win with these ?

I don't know DBR but i do know that Alex's DBx variants keep the game simple and high level (but with character) rather than the micro management tendency of the WRG DBx family.

DBR always seemed to me to be very different from DBA/M. I played the latter two quite happily but when trialling the DBR set found the game very disappointing - I can't recall the details, it was 4 houses ago for heaven's sake! but it seemed quite different in mechanics.

Yes I have played DBR several times but quite a few years ago now. I had no problems with it but it wasn't very ECW ish in Character. So IMO I am developing a game based around the DBN principles but with LOTS ! of ECW character.
I will try and encourage Peeler to post his thoughts on the rules SO FAR. 'Pies' often works.

So you need a bloodymindedness rule, where a unit stays exactly where it is, because that is where it is and it isn't bloody moving, alright!

A tad late to the fray (how very Ecwish) but have to say the game went well. Rather different to DBN in the CC mechanics, and it did feel ECW in manner. A few tweaks & maybe a twerk needed here & there.
