You could run an entire thread on what Peeler needs.

A pull through with a pine tree would be my first offering.

I did consider doing a unit or two but after the bombshell of 17th Cen 2023 I've invested my budget and time to then. It'll May before we know it.
Timbo, before accepting on your behalf I had arranged this with Gary. I'm getting a nice little British force and you are earmarked for our gallant Hanoverian Allies. So troops for thee and me are sorted.
Fantastic thank you!

I just want to clarify that, in games terms, a 12 figure cavalry squadron is no more effective or durable than a 6 figure one. Is that correct?

Iain has experimented with every size of cavalry unit and found them all to be equally durable

Yep, that's right. A twelve figure cavalry unit would form up two ranks deep, so would probably have the same frontage as a six figure unit. I think I might have mentioned that my cavalry units are fifteen figures strong? They form up as one unit in ranks of nine and six, but they fight exactly the same as a twelve or six figure unit. Although, being Gateway cavalry.........well, I think you know the rest.

That said, we're aiming for the right 'look', so splitting a twelve figure unit down to make two units would be very naughty. We'd much prefer players to combine two units of six to make something that looks a bit beefier.

Ok so my Squadrons are 9 figs ( 3 bases of 3) so I was thinking of doubling up to a unit of 2 Squadrons in 2 ranks making 18 figures per unit with 2 units per brigade ( 4 Squadrons). Is that ok ?

Hi John, if your 36 figures could be deployed as 3x12, it would help a lot as not only would the unit size be spot on, but the important '3 units per brigade' structure would remain intact to support the rules. I realise that this may mean a converged look to some units, but sometimes in (fictitious) war sacrifices must be made! :)

I'm sorry but this is where I should point out that beef comes from cows and cowboys did not really feature in the 18th Century :fp:
