Oh yeah, tack is right up there in the ‘Am I actually choosing to do this as a pastime?’ category.

Civilians. Yes agree

1 civilian= fine
2 civilians = ok need a second shade of brown
3 = oh ffs
10 regiments of militia = throw army out of the window

For me it is:
3 - varnishing
2 - basing
1 - Uniform research

Oh and 5. Fecking vehicle stowage.

Hate deflashing large plastic figures, often don't even bother much. Never seems to work out well.

Hate painting anything red ot navy blue, which is unfortunate since most things are. They always look awful until you varnish. I find the middle bit of painting when the block colours are on the most dis-satisfying as they look shit until you start with washes, dry brushing or glossing. I often get stuck in that stage and have a lot of figures laying about half done.

Painting horses! Hate it!

I don't like any part of the painting or basing process.

if you had square bases you'd love it

1) making buildings. I'm in this for stuff that goes boom, not architecture.
2) civilians
3) painting tyres (nice one RMD)
4) owt to do with horses
