I think that some of us are being too binary, automatically ascribing Undead to the side of Evil. They could be long dead heroes honouring an ancient pact to defend the good folk of Milltown. Halflings are all in favour of skeletal allies as they don't place any unnecessary demands on the rations.

Yeh I'm sure my undead are good guys.
Fine we've got a bone catapult that flings screaming zombie heads into the enemy. But that's just for show.
