Although, being a cut above this lot isn't so taxing.
What are people buying?

Re: What are people buying?
pushed the boat out and grabbed Offensive Miniatures new Waffen SS Pioneers and British Para Engineer squads. Handy..
Re: What are people buying?
Ohhh, must go look at those.
Re: What are people buying?
Three Ages of Rome from Hellion. Grabbed the early bird £5 off and post free. No idea if they'll be any good. Really must paint these Romans soon.
Re: What are people buying?
Blimey that’s lovely!
Re: What are people buying?
I got a bit carried away this week...
It started with a purchase from Helion Books of Nafziger's volume on the 1814 Campaign. I've had his 1813 trilogy on my shelf for YEARS and had no idea he'd done one for 1814, until I spotted it on the Helion website, so it was a must-buy.... This was brave, as the last two deliveries from Helion have disappeared without a trace (which were graciously replaced immediately, which oddly arrived without a problem). It couldn't happen a third time, could it? Could it...? Ah well, I've given it two weeks and it's not arrived, so will be asking for a third replacement book...
Then I wanted some dismounted SYW French Dragoons for the three dismounted regiments at Hastenbeck and as a tactical option for other battles. Nobody does specific figures that suit my collection (which consists of Eureka 18mm figures), so I went for a load of turnbacked French infantry in firing poses from Blue Moon, as they're close enough. Some dismounted chaps in the dragoon 'Wee Willie Winkie' caps would be nice, but beggars can't be choosers.
Then I learned that Barrie was selling off Timecast, so I thought I'd better do a bit of panic-buying while I can still get Old Glory 15s in the UK... (just in case)
Then I was trying to find an old 3Ws Frederick the Great boardgame to use as a campaign system. I'm sure it's here somewhere, but I can't bloody find it anywhere... completely mystified... So of course I HAD to buy a new SYW boardgame that came highly recommended; a German game called 'The Crisis of King Frederick II'. It's a lovely-looking game and the rules seem very simple, with armies represented by simple strength-points, so should work perfectly as a 'strategic-level' campaign system.
Lastly, I've got a SYW game coming up next week and suddenly decided to paint a few new Reichsarmee regiments needed for the game, so that required an order to Maverick Models for some Pfalz flags... Oh and some other Reichsarmee regiments... And those French Dragoon regiments... May as well get some more Hessian and Hanoverian flags while we're at it...
I can handle it... Can't I...?

Re: What are people buying?
Bloody posh that is... struggling to resist the AW Minis Easter Sale 20% off, they are cheap to start with, but then if I get Highlanders, Hussars and Lancers for the wicked Imperialist forces, I will have to balance that with another 100 sepoys...
Re: What are people buying?
Fess up, you bought Time Cast as a business, while drunk in a signal box on Tuesday morning, didn't you?
Re: What are people buying?
And who among us hasn't done that...?
