Out of interest, what resources have you found for the WAS in Italy? I've got plenty of uniform info, but I'm struggling to find orders of battle or decent maps for the battles. Also flags for the Neapolitans seem to be something of a mystery.

I've only really looked in detail at the Spanish forces. For Campo Santo i constructed my wargaming order of battle from a few sources

There's also some interesting stuff in The Defence of Piedmont (WIlkinson) (kindly lent to me by our own CB!)

Most of the OOBs sort of agree (on the Spanish anyway) - with most of the vagueness being with the irregular/light troops that i'll think about more at a later date.

I sorted out my target OOB (1 table battalion = 2 real life) and then marked up the map shown above and stuck it on my wall

Excellent! I found a few wargames articles, but they were more than a bit vague (not helped by the fact that a lot of Spanish and Neapolitan units have the same titles). I also found that map, but the resolution made it unreadable!

Don't suppose you've got anything for Bassignano?

I don't know if you've seen the amazing collection of Neapolitan uniform held by the New York Library's public archive? Well I've stuck them together into a coherent document and corrected a few mistakes made by whoever labelled the originals. Still can't find any flags, though...

Yes, it's brilliant, but for some reason it's in a file format that my computer doesn't want to save. I hate tech... I'll pm my email address and we can exchange prisoners... My Neapolitan powerpoint for your map in png format...
