Just having a think about all my stuff in various periods and have come to the conclusion that I haven't finished any.
There was a time when I thought I had finished 15mm Napoleonics but though there are nations I know that I will never collect (Swedes and Ottomans for example) I now realise that I will always want more units in the armies that I have collected.
My Pony wars stuff is probably complete in terms of purchases but I do still have some figures left to paint though these have been waiting for years for their turn.
I had thought that I would not have bought any more Arabs but succumbed just a few days ago and bought another 24 foot figures
Let alone start something new - is there some period that you feel you have completed and will not be adding more to?
what Wargames period have you finished?

The post is written in English, but I do not understand it.
Re: what Wargames period have you finished?
I am, by nature, a "finisher" so I've completed nearly everything, to be honest.
If I buy the odd unit, not because I need it but because I want it, does that count?
ACW: I hate painting this period. I've met my obligation so it's up to the other chaps if we need more.
NAPOLEONICS: I have French, A-D, Prussian & Russian armies. I'd be mad to add to them.
DARK AGES: Don't need, won't buy another figure.
COLONIAL (Sudan & AZW): See above.
WW2: I already have far more figures than I can get on a table. So....finished.
That leaves Bronze Ages, Punic Wars, ECW & SYW. There's a few things I want for all 4 periods; particularly in the SYW. And if anyone started a complete range of SYW Russians, I'd be in.
However, my mantra is "No new periods". So, as much as I wanted to climb aboard 'Cruel Seas' for example, it ain't happening.

Till someone comes up with a new Arfur book. There was a rash of them late 70s early 80s. Some nice ideas.

Funnily enough I’ve just painted the last Ancient Germans (all 3 of them) that I’ll ever paint.
My project plan is based on a traffic light system - Green is good to go and that amounts to:
1200 BCE Khamose Rebellion
66 Romans v Germans
1060 Normans in Italy
1588 Tudor Rebellions
1685 Monmouth Rebellion
1835 Texas War of Ingratitude
1856 Indian Mutiny
1860 Liberation of Sicily
1922 Russian Civil War
1938 VBCW
1944 Eastern Front
That’s not to say there’s not bare metal and possible expansion on all of those, but being realistic I ought to ‘finish’ those or the projects in Amber (underway, won’t take too long now, honest) - all 20 of them - but there might not be time to do both.
He said as he starts a completely new project

Sounds like your kanban is a bit knotted.
Re: what Wargames period have you finished?
Late British WWII 28mm unlikely to add more than maybe another mortar or truck and a command vignette I got back in the mystery box swap that I've still to paint.
Don't see me adding much more to my 42mm British now, still to finish painting the cavalry but I never wanted to have much more than a gameable army and now I'm on with an opposing Prussio/French one. They're just too damned expensive these days.
Sadly that's about it. I'm very much a magpie and definately not a completer-finisher.
