Bought & sold. And, er, bought again.
Bought & sold. And, er, bought again.
I'm sure we've all bought stuff, kept it nice & new in a box for ages, and then sold it on. Have you ever bought the same stuff back again?
A couple of years ago, I had a clear out, and at a table sale, sold two boxes of Ceasar miniatures, Orcs & Scarey Skeletons. The purchaser was very happy with them, at £3 a box.
A year later, I was wandering a table sale at a show, and amongst the tosh, saw these two boxes. Ideal, I thought, they'll go with the two I already have.
The seller looked a bit familiar. As did the handwriting on the price tags. But, at £3 a box, I had to have them.
It was only later I realised that I'd bought the same two boxes back. And I've never found anymore of them.

Not the exact same stuff, but I did buy a bunch of Redoubt Trojan war figures when they first came out, then sold them about five or six years later. Ten years or more after that I bought some Redoubt Trojan war figures again Nothing as epic as your Vappa find though

I've lost track of the number of times a small Spencer Smith 30mm Bavarian army travelled to Newcastle and back.

I did not know Cummings did Spencer Smiths.

I don't think he does.
A mate of mine has some painted figures, which I'm certain I had previously owned, painted & sold on. He strongly denies buying them and says he painted them.

I once sold Mr Troop a load of Dixon Grand Alliance 25mm stuff in the car park at Bovington* in the early 2000s; a few years ago, I (knowingly) investigated buying them back, looking to build a Bavarian army, but he'd used almost all the appropriate stuff and there wasn't enough left to make it worth it.
(* I was going to add that it was flooded to see if anyone could put a date to it, but thinking about it, back in the early 2000s, Bovington car park was always flooded on Battle Group South weekend. )
