My Wargaming connection with Driffield was buying from the local auction house what turned out to be Bill Lamming's display figures of his lost and short lived SYW Range from the early 1970s

I drive past Driffield showground on the way to Ayton every year.
My other wargaming connection is that in Middlesbrough Wargames Club's English Civil War 1981 campaign (run in about 1980) i commanded the Government TA forces out of Driffield. Badly.
