very nice indeed. I have a ton of figures acquired for my AWI project, and I am terrified of starting them. I know I will get the warpaint all wrong to start with!
Very nice, I signed up for the North Star FIW kickstarter last year, have painted them and shoved them in a box. Can't really say that I enjoyed painting them like I had expected in retrospect so best of luck
What I had missed on the blog and enjoyed reading was the Cornwall ECW post
Hope your recovery from Covidianistanititis is proceeding
Thanks folks, always nice to get some feedback. Doug, these are toys in a game so paint the Warpaint anyway you like. Doubt there was a formal pattern book to follow anyway! Mine were just red & ochre squiggles and blots! VB I'm thankfully over the Vid bar an annoying cough which has outstayed it's welcome!
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

They do indeed look the "bees knees".
I suspect that warpainting symbols may have been either a plains indian thing or largely fictional?
The contemporary/near contemporary stuff i've seen and read suggests that it was more a case of painting the whole or parts of the face in the desired colours so no need to get stressed about it anyway
