Here's a game we played recently at the Carmarthen Old Guard, using 'Napoleon's Battles' rules. As in the actual battle, it was definitely something of an attritional bloodbath! Still bloody good fun though...

Fine looking game there!
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Great looking game!

Thanks fellas! I think it's definitely one to do again with a different plan for the French, rather than going with the historical plan. It also might be fun to do with the full (literal) fog of war for the first four turns, when both sides attacked each other in the fog, but that would definitely require a second day of play.
Anyway, the Memsahob is ill (a very bad, non-covid cold), so that's another holiday binned and I get a bonus night at the club! As we're on a Napoleonic roll, I thought I might do the Battle of Castiglione.

I'm sure they must be... Alas, they often coincided with prodigious quantities of alcohol...
Except on the Saturday of the much-missed Warcon, when we set up our Bautzen 1813 refight in the Students' Union bar. From prior experience I knew that it was the only part of the show that would remain open after 5pm, so we could stay playing (and drinking) until midnight!
However, my cunning plan was foiled when we drank them dry on the Friday and they couldn't get another delivery until Monday...
