A Bash of Shields

Paul dropped in at mine today for a prequel game of his Dark Age rules adapted from A Song of Ice and Fire. They worked great and we only found a couple of tweaks to clarify for November. My Saxon's saw off Paul's Viking raiders but with many casualties. It went down to the wire in the last turn with a lone mounted Huscarl warrior holding it for the Saxons just long enough to break the Viking nerve.

Thanks for the hospitality.
It was a fun game and swung by the reluctance of the Vikings Strathclyde allies to charge that pesky lone Huscarl !!
At least my Raiders were suitably vicious :D

That looks really good. Glad to hear it played well, well done Paul.
Andy's got enough dark ages painted to trounce that lot! :)

Looking good Tim. Are those metal chaps the Arthurian "Huscarls" from Warlord?
