A thought occurred to me this week as I drove home. I'm not particularly enjoying painting at the moment and working my way through some cavalry riders after doing the horses in one large batch. Then I remembered that I had set up a GdeA game some weeks ago, played a few solo turns and left it. Its been there gathering dust ever since. This after all is the whole point of the painting isn't it
So, rather than paint every evening after dinner (I hardly ever watch TV) I thought it might be sensible to have a dedicated Fight Night as a change to a painting session
That way I might get some use from the results of my painting efforts
Seems like a good idea?
I'm hoping that this along with a plan not to buy any new figures for a while might give me a welcome change
Any other suggestions?
Fight Night
Re: Fight Night
Sounds like a good plan and one i'd like to copy...after I excavate the War Room from the piles of 'Junk' that currently occupy it!
Re: Fight Night
Me too. The shed doesn't witness nearly enough gaming related activity. I should at least put aside two hours every week to build terrain and stuff. And I should follow Hotel Tim's advice to put aside one hour a day to paint.

I think you should pick up painting 6mm projects again. It's like Viagra for miniatures.

Blissfully unnecessary for me. I could be wargaming three times a week, boardgaming once a week, & roleplaying once a week.
Saturday wargaming at the club’s the only one I’m at regularly, though. Can’t find time to fit the rest in.

Well quite - those frozen lettuces aren't going to attack all by themselves you know!

Dunno, some of them have been around for a while. They might have developed autonomous movement.
