Re: Smaller Size Still...

I do both but, most recently, 10mm. I feel 10mm is the smallest of the middling scales too and 6mm the largest of the small scales (I do 2mm & 3mm as well). As you want the best 'small' scale I voted 6mm even though I prefer painting 10mm. I've been doing a few 15mm as well recently, topping up ...

Re: Magnet and Steel

I supply magnetic sheets and Ferrosheet (that magnets 'stick' to). http://www.tinytintroops.co.uk/Bases/Flex_Mag_sheets.htm The magnetic sheet is 0.8mm, not the strongest you can get but adequate for up to 28mm figures. Ferrosheet is a fairly new product for me and is much better than most of the th...

Re: Vappa

I'm coming over by train on the day with 3 mates but the trains from Liverpool are all screwed up so have to trust to 'amended' timetables so never quite sure when we will arrive. Probably means ending the day waiting for ages in the station tap - at least that should be part of the day even rail co...

Re: Vappa/Shows shopping lists?

Trains from Liverpool are all to cock so no idea when I'll get there but I have a few small pre-orders to collect. 15mm early medieval to fill some gaps in my DBA3 armies (currently being re-worked for DBA3, probably will still be so when ver 4 comes out). Some 28mm piratey stuff, again to fill in a...

New magnetic storage & basing products from Tiny Tin Troops

Hi Guys To the range of sheets we have been selling for some years (Magnetic and Flex-o-Metal) we have added a heavier & better iron impregnated sheet (Ferrosheet) and increased the range of pre-cut sizes we offer from one to three. Due to a lucky sale at our suppliers we are actually LOWERING P...

Re: Your first painted army?

Mine was probably Airfix WW2 British, a totally ahistorical force with a couple of Bren carriers and a converted Quad as an armoured car. Next two were also Airfix - Ancient Britons and then a medieval army about 100YW period from various bits of Sherriff of Nottingham and Robin Hood sets. First met...

Re: Fiasco Leeds Sunday 29th October

The best bit is that so few students get decent jobs that all those loans won't get repaid and it will end up costing twice as much as the grant system ever did. What will we get in exchange ? - half a bloody million 'sports scientists' or 'leisure management' graduates and the entire staff of McDon...

Me too Jeremy. Sadly I play with some who don't think quite the same as me and try and stick close to the original - even when it fails them.

Re: Fiasco Leeds Sunday 29th October

The Cricketers is just down the street from us and that is a good pub and good eats but I know what you mean - no Buck, no Windmill etc., mind you the beer in the Buck wasn't that great, the Greyhound was a crap pub but the beer was always good. The town is swamped with students, probably more than ...

Re: Is HoW any good then?

The problem is that determination of commander status is done randomly and you can end up with them all in critical positions. Basically a Poor commander is less than half as effective as an Average one. If a Poor commander was slower to react, fine but, if the dice go against you then you can sit o...
