Re: In the service of Altefritzenburg...

Lovely work, Andy. You've got Fred's snootiness down pat.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Very nice, Mark. They're one of the better looking "white" armies. I have the figures for Lubomirsky and Graf Brühl's light horse, but the chances of them seeing paint are receding.

Are Fred's flags from his Ad-Hoc releases?

Re: The Battle of Corbach 1760 (Game Report)

The SYW is the most spectacular of periods. And Mark's collection is amongst the most spectacular SYW wargaming armies. As always, i really appreciate the photos & report. donald What Donald said, in spades. You do a good looking game, Mark, not just interesting scenarios. Though I thought the ...

Re: In the service of Altefritzenburg...

Andy, if my last post came across as a criticism then I apologise. I'm impressed (and a little jealous) of the character you paint into your figures, mate. But intent doesn't always come out on board posts, as some other tools in the box pointed out, so I thought I'd clarify what I meant. As for the...

OK, Andy. You're doing some lovely work, especially for someone who had to relearn how to paint after so many decades, mate.

Re: Why machine guns?

I haven't researched the C15TA in detail, but they didn't arrive at the front until late 44 (2 years after the half-tracks). You may be correct that they went to the Canadians and other non UK formations. I haven't really looked at the Canadian and Polish ORBAT. One reason that there's very little ...

Very nice, Andy. Have you ever done any larger scale (54mm+) figures? If so can we have a peek?

Re: 24,000 Point Repo Romans vs Seleucid WAB Game!

I'm not familiar with WAB, but the tweaks you suggested for the Romans were interesting. Relieving the first line isn't possible in most of the rules I've played. That's a very impressive game, mate, and some very nice figures (the old farts with white hair excluded  ).

That's impressive, mate. When I tried to access the link I got a 404 error, all three times.
