Re: Shed Game - AWI 18mm WoFun
That's a good point. WoFun 'flats' are far from photogenic because the shiny edge shows up like a sore thumb in a photograph. When you're playing with them, through necessity, the eye is drawn to the coloured parts. That's it, EB. It looks like a good game was had, but it was a bit "off"-...

Re: On to Richmond...
"Glory Hallelujah" is the ACW supplement for Black Powder, which tweaks the rules to make them more appropriate for that conflict. There are similar supplements for F&IW/SYW ("Last Argument of Kings" and "Dark and Bloody Ground"), AWI ("Rebellion"), Napol...

Re: What's on your workbench?
Does (Australian) fly-spray work on spiders? Or did you mean "drowned" literally.....? As Doug said, fly-spray doesn't work too well. But as it's the only insecticide in the house, Herself would keep applying it until the offending arachnid- and everything else on my desk- was no longer v...

Re: What's on your workbench?
I used to like having Huntsmen around, they would eat all the Redbacks, Funnelwebs, White-Tails etc I agree, Doug, they make a good house spider. But She Is Obeyed is not a fan of any living thing with more than four legs, especially those with 8 legs. Moving her (the spider) outside saved her and ...

Re: On to Richmond...
Black Powder with some additions from Glory Hallelujah and bits of house rules when we remember them. Thanks, Penda. Not really familiar with either BP (played a couple of SYW games using it) or GH (never heard of it). But the mix seems to have given a good game. "when we remember them."....

Re: Shed Game - AWI 18mm WoFun
Still very undecided on that one. I prefer the 3D, and as much as I enjoy using the WoFun chaps, I am still a 3D wargamer and painter. But the pleasure in just pulling them off their frames and onto the bases and being ready to rock is fun too. The look of them on a proper table as they were yester...

Re: On to Richmond...
That is a good looking game, mate, and a draw seems a fair result. Which rules do you use? The basing looks like Johnny Reb, but the reference to a unit being "Whipped" is new to me.

Re: What's on your workbench?
Jamie doesn't seem to have had as many issues, or maybe is more forgiving. Some could be the result of TT not allowing for expansion and contraction of MDF but one building had slots and tabs that were around 5mm out of whack in several places. As it was a four or five "sheet" building it...
