I used to have a few hundred of these hard plastic ones back in the day.
I bought mine from a house in Frimley. I got the address from Charge.

That would be Ronald Spencer Smith himself. He used to advertise in the back of Military Modelling.Ilkley Old School wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 12:15 pm I used to have a few hundred of these hard plastic ones back in the day.

I bought my first Spencer Smiths from him.
The hard plastic were the "Connoisseur" range designed by Barry Minot
I bought some of the Prussian / Hessian fusileers along with standard AWI marching troops and possibly Indians and woodsmen; the Connoisseur figures were in soft (brown) plastic like the standard range by this time.
Distinctly underwhelming at the time.....

Nice work Willz.
I see they are carefully stored! ☺
The hard plastic Connoisseur I have have a lot of snapped muskets.
Interesting that nominally 1:72 heads work on 30mm, although the Minot heads are on the small side.

Yes, lubbly jubbly, Mr W.
