We're turning our attention to our Sci-Fi ranges next, and with six complete factions already online it's time to add some scenery for your tables.  We've got 8 city buildings available in both intact and ruined versions.  These all come with separate card sheets for the window frames and internal floors. 

And for those looking to build a full cityscape, we've added a Bundle deal containing every building with a 10% discount off the individual RRP.

The MDF road/river bits look interesting but I'm a bit worried that the longer sections might warp if painted or textured. Could that be an issue and, if so, what's the advice on how it can be prevented? Ta.

Longer pieces of MDF can be prone to warping so we'd recommend sealing both sides of the pieces with PVA or similar, just to avoid that. Some folks score the surface of the MDF too, just to get the PVA into the material a bit more.

We've got a couple of handy releases for you next, just for FSN!  We've always been able to supply extra draught horses as a custom order but we've now put them into their own mould/code so that you can grab as many as you need.

The Type 1 horses are in a lighter tack/harnessing, while the Type 2 have got a heavier collar and a blanket roll as well.

Like Leon said Sealing helps but the warping is down to two factors.
Moisture ingress...that sealing stops.
and the mechanical pull of the glue as it dries and shrinks a little...which sealing doesn't stop.

If you're using PVA to attach flock, scatter etc... It's common practice to use the same glue to stick a paper backing on the reverse side, which usually stops significant warping.
An alternative is to use a latex based glue for the scenic materials as that seems to shrink less and induce less "warpage"...at least in my experience!

The paper backing method can also be used to rescue pieces already warped.

This very annoying. Those river sections look rather cute......order sent......and of course I need an Iron Brigade......and some flags.

Leon - how about adding a 'Y' section which reduces the river width for tributaries and drainage ditches?

Sharp corners on things always seem to promote warping...that said I recently forgot to follow my own advice on a circular piece of 5mm XPS "foam". It warped so much it was like a shallow dish, raised at least half an inch all the way around an eight inch circle.
But a piece of paper glued to the reverse (and weighted down 'til dry) and it pulled it all back to true.

I'm going to try the paper trick. I'm also wondering about beefing up the river banks with coat-hanger wire. I'm very much at home to massive over engineering.

Like my father would say, "never use two screws when six will do".
