My dad used to sculpt Styrofoam terrain with an electric carving knife, wear dust mask, the stuff is very dangerous. Also, do it in garage, with car in driveway, sweeping up the snow is challenging.

Mains-powered model with interchangeable heads ordered.
Bread knives be buggered. I’m not faffing about with styrofoam ‘snow’.

Just don't sniff the carcinogenic fumes given off by the smouldering styrofoam.

Yes, there is a nursery of baby minotaurs whose nappies are overdue for a change, steer clear of styro vapours.

To be pernickity, I think it’s just plain poisonous rather than carcinogenic.
It’s got that cyanide in it, IIRC.

So it'll kill you instantly, rather than in 5-25 years' time?Norman D. Landings wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 6:05 pm To be pernickity, I think it’s just plain poisonous rather than carcinogenic.

A guy at my Karate club cut the styrofoam for his Test of Honour terrain using his katana. Flash but not very practical.
