Well thats a lot more positive response than I'd been expecting. Sounds like we really should think about doing something - either face to face or with Roll20 or both

It feels like classic D&D is the one we are all most familiar with and that no one thinks its fun to role play debating field-crop rotation systems rather than killing orcs.

Im not sure what a good next step would be. I'm going to a RPG event in Manchester next month where I'll play my first game for 20+ years and it might remind me whats involved with it all

EB - im very pleasantly surprised. Though your memory of what Clerics do compared to what they actually do (cure light wounds) seem to be somewhat different. It would be great to see a pic of your original figure though!

I don’t mind playing a cleric: nearly a fighter, nearly a mage, party healer, and undead turner.

3rd edition monks are pretty good too.

I was usually a fighter, but I had a couple of magi. I was always happy to kill clerics and had a thing about cutting of thieves' hands.

To this day, I cannot see why women were keen on D&D but not on wargaming.
