not as many as i thought it did it seems. But yes it does have some. thanks

I didnt expect that man responses thanks chaps. To clarify, I do attach them before undercoating normally but that's not going to work when some poses are holding their shields to the body. Its more about painting the figure properly than the shield. I'm not painting designs, I use the excellent LittleBigMen transfers for when they get complicated.

Why not have a look at the LBM site itself, all the transfers are shown illustrated by manufacturer, here’s the Foundry Greek set:goat major wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 8:49 am While we are on the subject of shields. Does anyone know of a good reference for simplified hoplite shield patterns to copy for freehand painting? I know you can get transfers but I'd prefer to paint.

And the Curteys set:

The littlebigmen transfers are great - I used them for my French Pavsiers.....really set them off despite my crap painting.
For my Trojan war shields I'll be painting them a simple geometric design or snake. The Tower and figure of eight sheilds will be painted brown/white or black/white animal hides.

Lovely stuff. Front Rank don't seem to be as popular as they once were and I dont know why. Splendid figures.

Always thought Front Rank looked like they had several meals too many.
