it is punishment really for caring about the aesthetics of magnetic tape in the bottom of a box

still not as severe level of f*ckwittery as when I magnetised all my 40k guns the wrong way round

yep thats exactly what happened. And I felt so good having drilled out holes just the right size for the magnets that made them fit snugly - and also meant they were almost impossible to prise off again.

Bollocks, I though... Or possibly muttered... Or even shouted...

New stuff ordered. I won't make that mistake again... For weeks...
Yeah, I've nearly done that. I bought a batch of black magnetic vinyl as they were selling it off cheap, and it's a pain in the arse - difficult to mark before cutting and very difficult to identify the magnetic side.

I keep forgetting which is which, even though they have different colour backings. I always test the sheet with a washer before cutting

I mark with the same pale coloured gel pens I use for belts and shako cords.

What brand/point sizes do you recommend for gel pens? This is something I've yet to try, tho I hear it's the business...

Look through art and office supplies online. Try out what's available. I am amzed at the range here in Aus compared to Chile.

With your brushwork they may not be much use, but I find them invaluable for belts and gold or silver.
