What are people buying?
Re: What are people buying?
You can also look at the nefarious activities of the SBS in the Med. There were some very unusual vessels and actions.

Thanks, ET. One of the 1:600 folks has a Greek caique - might be H&R*? Landing/rescuing a raiding party would make a great scenario. Interesting that they describe the SBS as "Army" - was there little/no input from the Andrew at that time?

Not buying yet..... But...
ShoBoki has Suvorov Russians in 15/18mm for Switzerland.
AB does French and Austrians.
I might be tempted to spend spend spend spend!

Mention of SBS Ops in the Med always reminds me of a Chelsea pensioner. Not being the most PC sorts they had a habit of playing Top Trumps about their service. On ex SBS chap shut down a conversation about How many Jerries did you kill? After a thought he just said "I sunk a troop ship once".

Aha! That reminds me! AB have also got the Revolutionary Wars French Cavalry of the Line in production, but they're not on the website yet. They should be up any day now, as the new Westphalian Cuirassiers, Saxon Hussars and Young Guard Chasseurs a Cheval have appeared. There are also Spanish and Brunswick lancers to come.FreddBloggs wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 12:17 pm Not buying yet..... But...

Battle Honours did a lovely Suvorov range. It was about the last thing Tony Barton did for them before Danny Boreham stole the company.

See, this is what happens when you leave the country for 27 years, you miss out on all this gossip.
Re: What are people buying?
Probably SDD, who had one in their long OOP range, I've got one stashed away. SBS was army(-ish) in WWII, & the postwar successor was RM/RN IIRC.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 10:43 am Thanks, ET. One of the 1:600 folks has a Greek caique - might be H&R*? OK< what's 'grase' especially semi-grase? UK spelling for graze? Nope... 'Generally Regarded As Safe & Effective'? so semi-grase is not something I would be crowing about.
Let us know how you get on with them. I would suspect that buying them as a set means that certain pencils will remain largely unused, and that you will have to purchase an entire set to get the light rust pencil when you still haven't used the Strong Ocher(sic).

Isn't "Strong Ocher" like Crocodile Dundee?
