That's the way I'm doing my infamy bases, but for the medievals I prefer the Zombie style stuff. I just see them as not being as well ordered, so Warbases 6 man zombie bases x 2 for a unit. Placed either beside or behind each other.

Sorry for being a bit thick here, but why do you need the little magnet if you've got the ferrous base (which I assume is also magnetic, given that it is replacing your previous "go-to" of magnetic paper)?levied troop wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:10 pm Then a self-adhesive ferrous base (Magnetic Displays or Sally 4th)applied to the bottom, a tiny neodymium magnet superglued in the middle of each hole, which is then sprinkled with baking powder to add some texture to that part of the base.

Yep. That puzzled me too. My figures are glued onto pennies then I put a magnet in a hole in the base.

Re: Basing asthetics (medieval)
I did test the bases without magnets but the ferrous paper isn’t strong enough to hold them securely, the pull is exerted downwards not upwards if that makes sense. I base on steel washers and store the figures on base and to a magnetic strip in the box - possibly overkill but they used to get a lot of travel and I’ve avoided any damage no matter how much the mileage.

Re: Basing asthetics (medieval)
Thanks for explaining that. I've never had a problem with boxing up armies on the old paper version, using metal bases, but then they were only 15mm figures.

Re: Basing asthetics (medieval)
After a big rebase/re-box exercise I think I've sorted out what I need to paint up to fill the gaps, this is about half the Yorkist force:
Still liking the 10 man bases, although I will probably reserve it for the WotR project (although I'm having minor fantasies about using it for DBA armies )

Bloody nice, for a bloody conflict - nice to see that rebasing is alive and well.
