Cheers. Yeah, it's the first unit I've done with the Eureka Austrians and they're lovely. I've painted the Eureka Prussians, French and British infantry figures and I think these are my favourite.
I've edited the page to add Lamberg's portrait.Spanner wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 11:22 am It's a good looking regiment, mate. Mike Broadbent, who sculpted the Eureka range, is impressed. The colours look good as well.
I understand what you mean about researching the uniforms- just look at the fun I had getting access to the Delacre Bilderhandschrift. If you're really curious about the uniforms, I've had a fair bit of success in contacting local museums and getting information. The Kurmainz local museum is the Tauberfränkisches Landschaftsmuseum im Kurmainzischen Schloss http://www.tauberfraenkisches-landschaf ... zeiten.htm E-Mail: g.wamser@gmx.net. Why not ask if there are any period portraits of Graf von Lamberg, Lieutenant-Colonel Baron von Herstall or one of the other officers in uniform? If so, are any photos of the portrait on line?
