19th Prussian infantry 2nd battalion, flags by David at "Not by Appointment"

The brigade commander still work in progress.

Willz.
The perks of being a grenadier Donald, automatic seven years extra service to the crown.
Indeed - always nice to see! Spiffing, in fact.
No easy answer to this, mate. The Leibgarde Regiment excepted, the battalions all had the same uniform. Whether they used coloured sword knots to distinguish each company, as was done from at least FWII's reign onwards, I can't answer. Modern illustrators (Menzel, Dorn, Jany) show coloured knots and sometimes all white. But all white may indicate the Leib Kompangie, as it did in 1792. My German isn't good enough for me to have ferreted out any firm answer and Kronoskaf dodges the issue by not discussing sword knots.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 1:22 pmIndeed - always nice to see! On a technical point, were there any obvious (at this scale/size, anyway) uniform differences between 1st and 2nd Battalion personnel?
