I'm going shopping now, and when I get back, if you like, we can have a sensible conversation about something else.
You can do sensible conversations?

I don’t regard any ruleset as complete unless it includes rules for Thrown Pike.

This contemporary source rates the Pike as a better weapon for single combat than anything else shorter than eight foot.

Very interesting link Paul. Did you see the part that said:

"The reason which moved me to adventure so great a task, is the desire I have to bring the truth to light, which has a long time lain hidden in the cave of contempt."?

A bit cruel of the writer to have slated off poor old EB like that. Probably never even met him.

Oh for goodness sake.

Firstly, love the new name for the shed.

Secondly, now Dave has quoted from it, I'll have to read it. I'll get back to you.

I thought the 'Cave of Contempt' was the nickname for the 'Lettuce Fridge'.
